After addressing this... people still cant read apparently. You don't need your own copy of the place; you are still in the same instance of the team-but your drops stop, and the drops you have gotten are still there. you would be grayed out on their party menu; all of them would be grayed out on your party menu. I guess if you could comprehend the concept, it would be a different story, but seeing as people arent listening (apparently since i had to write this) i guess this idea is

Well, it is if you're party leader. Though I'd rather it was possible to view people's builds automatically (regardless of who you are) and for the leader to force-load builds to people who're having trouble doing something decent.

But a Ritualist as pure healer is just as bad as a Monk going pure healer. Just as monk is best as a heal/prot hybrid, so too is Ritualist best as a heal/damage support character.

*eye roll*

Yes because I'm illiterate because I didn't bother to read every single post in the thread. (not reading and being unable to read/comprehend are two different things, one is attributable to not wanting to bother dealing with pages of dumb comments, the other is a grave insult on my intelligence).

Keep your idea all in one place in the OP and we wouldn't have any problems with this editing of "oh crap my idea really is stupid, here is a patch to try to fix that problem that doesn't really do anything"

This still wouldn't make much sense since the individual member would still be able to advance through the mission by following the party along. (ie, if you do this in a mission/dungeon, wouldn't the kicked guy still "beat" the mission/dungeon). He would still be able to aggro stuff and lead to the deaths of ex-teammates (and probably would out of spite). I mean, really, the only thing this would effectively do was eliminate the guy's comments from team chat (which could just be done by ignoring the guy).

But apparently... I'M the idiot because I think things through logically and see why they wouldn't work.

Perfect solution.

No, stuff like this adds needed mechanics, and streamlines gameplay.

I've heard the same thing about the /report feature. Streamlines gameplay, etc, much needed..heres the truth though:

The report feature is already abused, and all it does is give the abusers a chance to send reports blindly to anet however they please. It's an already abused-to-shit feature, regardless of how useful it can be at times, it gets abused...and as I said provides nothing more than the idea it was sent to anet. A group of people can then be pleased that anet will ban the person they grief reported. But now we have the party kick feature, letting the abusers take things into their own hands, anet totally not needing to be involved in the situation.

So we have this party vote-kick feature added. Not only will this get abused like /report, it'll be abused far greater than report itself because it feeds the abusers with the needed drama of seeing the griefed person get kicked and get mad, possibly shout and swear at them, feeding the trolls with more drama. It is the report feature on steroids, already abused enough and now the retarded community can take matters into their own hands.

Just as there are grief reporters- as in get your friends and come report this guy for nothing, there will be grief vote kickers.

Sure this feature has a positive side but so did the report feature, along with a negative side, just like this one. Anet isn't going to make it abuse proof, because their excuse for making /report abuse proof was "we'll ban you for abusing this feature" yet to override this, you just need more then one person to abuse it and anet takes the wrong side. They'll probably add a similar message, only it'll be something like "abusing this feature to kick people for your own profit will result in a ban" but really, when more than one person abuses it, it turns around and anet takes the side of the abusers, because it was a group decision, they don't know it was abused.

I think we've reached a /thread too btw.
